Lovely. How do you adapt when wearing wading boots and standing on an incline or uneven rocky bottom in heavy current?

That is a big deal! Do you hold off breaking the wrist on the forward cast too, until after the stop? To me, I break it at the stop but seem forced to have my elbow project slightly upward on the shelf. This is really right where I seem to need help. I feel after the drift, my forward cast need to be on a slightly higher shelf? Hoping you read this, you are really helpful!!

Why would you want to use a cast like the running mouse when it makes lots of disturbance in the first place , or am i missing something, surely you try to make your casts land gently with no disturbance before or after , all the best , David. or after

A 13 foot match rod with a 3bb waggler and 5lbs line would do a better job, it would also be more sensitive. You still have the 3 flies beneath the float, so you are still fly fishing.
